General information
Glass-fibre reinforced composite pipe — inner and outer layers PP-R, middle layer glass-fibre reinforced PP-R (PP-R / GF / PP-R). It shows 75% less linear expansion than standard PP-R pipe, has higher rigidity and requires no shaving. Produced in PN 20 and PN 25 classes.
The thermal expansion coefficient of the glass-fibre reinforced pipe is 0.035 mm/mK; on a 5 m line, expansion is 5.3 mm at a 30 °C temperature difference and 8.8 mm at 50 °C. For standard PP-R pipe these values are 22.5 mm and 37.5 mm.
Composite pipe can be used freely in applications where foil-laminated pipes are used; it does not require shaving during installation like foil-laminated pipes and is welded like normal PPRC pipes.
