General information
Our acoustic wastewater system, whose special formulation and mineral-reinforced layers trap the sound of liquid flowing inside the pipe, inspires confidence with its sealing performance. By preventing plumbing noise in vertical and horizontal in-building lines, it offers a peaceful living environment in modern urban buildings and increases property value.
Noise in a wastewater line travels by two paths: airborne sound passing through the pipe wall, and structure-borne (impact) sound transmitted to the building through the clamps. In the Acoustic PP system, the mineral reinforcement in the middle layer suppresses airborne sound by increasing the mass per unit area of the pipe wall, while the rubber-sealed clamps cut off the transmission of structure-borne sound to the building element.
In heavy (reinforced concrete) construction, the structure-borne sound pressure level in the neighbouring room is 24.3 dB(A) even at a high flow rate of 4 l/s; at the 2 l/s flow rate typical of residential plumbing it drops to 17.7 dB(A).
