PEX and PE-RT underfloor heating (mobile) pipes
Plastherm PE-Xb and PE-RT pipes are produced in coils for underfloor heating, wall heating, radiator and sanitary applications. Thanks to their flexibility, both products are laid under the floor without joints; since no fittings are used, there is no point under the floor where a leak could occur.
PE-Xb is produced by cross-linking high-density polyethylene molecules using the silane method. After production, the pipes are passed through a 65 °C water bath to strengthen the bond structure. The cross-linking degree is ≥ 65%. PE-RT, thanks to its special molecular structure, offers high temperature resistance without the need for cross-linking; it is more flexible and easier to work with in cold weather.

PE-RT Pipes
Underfloor heating / hot waterPE-RT (heat-resistant polyethylene) offers high temperature resistance thanks to its special molecular structure, without the need for cross-linking.

- With proper design, 25–30% energy savings are achieved compared with conventional radiator systems.
- In spiralled sheathed pipes, the sheath provides impact protection, reduces heat loss and allows expansion.
