General information
In the aluminium-laminated pipe, a thin wrap-welded aluminium foil sits between the inner and outer PP-R layers; the mechanical bond between the foil and the PP-R is provided by a special PP coating film. It blocks oxygen diffusion and reduces longitudinal expansion to one fifth. The surface is shaved with a peeling tool before welding. PN 25.
Oxygen diffusing into the system from the atmosphere causes corrosion in metal components such as boilers and radiators, shortening their service life. Standard plastic pipes do not prevent this passage; the aluminium foil layer provides oxygen impermeability and extends equipment life in closed-circuit heating systems.
The thermal expansion coefficient of the aluminium-laminated pipe is 0.030 mm/mK; on a 5 m line, expansion is 4.5 mm at a 30 °C temperature difference and 7.5 mm at 50 °C.

- Combi boiler and radiator systems
- Hot water lines
